An expert lecture on “Emerging Trends and Current Demands in the IT Industry” was organized on 13 May 2026 by the Department of CSE(AIML), CSE(Data Science), and CSE at Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Bhopal. The session was delivered by Mr. Rupesh Sizaria, a seasoned IT professional with 28 years of industry experience. During his distinguished career, he has worked with renowned organizations such as Zensar Technologies, HCL Technologies, and Ford Motor Company. For the last 21 years, he has been associated with Tata Consultancy Services, where he is currently serving as a Delivery Manager.

In his insightful address, Mr. Sizaria highlighted various emerging technologies and skill areas that are currently in high demand in the IT industry. He motivated engineering graduates to continuously upgrade their technical and professional skills to meet evolving industry requirements and build successful careers in the competitive global environment. His interaction provided students with valuable guidance regarding career planning, industry expectations, and future technological trends.

The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Anil Bajpai, Honorable Group Director, who inspired the audience with his valuable words. Industrial Visit to Kalpatru Multiplier Ltd, Bhopal

The MBA Department organized an industrial visit to Kalptaru for its students with the objective of bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical industry exposure. The visit provided students with an excellent opportunity to understand real-world business operations, production processes, quality control mechanisms, and organizational management practices.

During the visit, the officials of Kalptaru welcomed the students and provided a detailed overview of the company’s journey, business model, operational framework, and growth strategies. Students were taken through various departments where they observed the functioning of different processes and gained insights into supply chain management, inventory control, workforce management, and customer-oriented practices.

The interaction session with industry professionals enabled students to understand current industry trends, challenges, and the skills required to succeed in the corporate world. The experts also shared valuable experiences regarding leadership, teamwork, innovation, and professional ethics.

The industrial visit proved to be a highly enriching learning experience, allowing students to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications. Farewell Ceremony for MBA Graduating Batch

The MBA Department organized a heartfelt Farewell Ceremony to bid adieu to the outgoing batch and celebrate their remarkable journey at the institute. The event was filled with emotions, memories, and aspirations as faculty members and junior students came together to honor the graduating students.

The program commenced with a warm welcome, followed by cultural performances, fun-filled activities, and interactive sessions that created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere. Students enthusiastically participated in games, talent showcases, and memory-sharing sessions, reflecting on their experiences and achievements during their academic journey.

Faculty members extended their best wishes to the graduating students and encouraged them to pursue their professional goals with confidence, integrity, and determination. Industrial Visit cum Workshop on IoT & AI/ML at IIIT Bhopal

The students of B.Tech 2nd Year (CSE, AI/ML, and Data Science) participated in an Industrial Visit cum Workshop on Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) on 4th June 2026 at Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal, conducted at the PHN Lab located within the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal campus.

During the workshop, students were introduced to the fundamentals and real-world applications of IoT, including sensor integration, smart devices, data acquisition, and communication technologies. The AI/ML sessions covered machine learning concepts, data-driven decision-making, predictive analytics, and emerging industry applications of artificial intelligence. The guided laboratory visit provided students with practical exposure to advanced research facilities, ongoing projects, and modern technological infrastructure.

The workshop enhanced students' understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies and bridged the gap between classroom learning and practical implementation. The visit inspired students to explore research, innovation, and career opportunities in the rapidly growing domains of IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

Expert Session on Latest IT Industry Trends & Placement Readiness

An expert session for Engineering students was successfully conducted by Dr. Deepa from Anudip Foundation for the students of B.Tech Computer Science Engineering on dated 26/05/2026. The session aimed to familiarize students with the latest trends in the IT industry and provide valuable guidance from a placement and career development perspective.

During the session, Dr. Deepa Alumus IIMA shared insightful information about the rapidly evolving IT landscape, emerging technologies, and current industry requirements. Students were introduced to important domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Full Stack Development, and other in-demand technological areas shaping the future of the IT sector.

The expert also highlighted the expectations of recruiters and emphasized the importance of technical competency, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, continuous learning, and professional development for securing successful career opportunities. Students received practical guidance on enhancing employability skills, preparing for placements, and aligning their competencies with industry demands.

The interactive session proved highly informative and motivational, enabling students to gain a better understanding of career opportunities and the skill sets required to excel in today’s competitive job market.

Approximately 120 students of B.Tech Computer Science Engineering from First Year, Second Year, and Third Year actively participated in the session. The students showed enthusiastic involvement and benefitted significantly from the expert’s knowledge, experience, and industry-oriented insights.

The session concluded with an engaging interaction and question-answer round, where students clarified their doubts related to career planning, industry trends, and placement preparation. The program was successful in inspiring students to focus on skill enhancement and career readiness for future opportunities in the IT industry.

The program was graced by Smt. Krishna Gaur, Hon’ble MLA from Bhopal and Minister of State (Independent Charge), Government of Madhya Pradesh, as the Chief Guest. Seminar Report: Expert Lecture on Machine Learning Foundation

The IEEE Student Branch of Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), Bhopal organized an expert lecture on “Foundations of Machine Learning” on 22 December 2025 for students of all B.Tech. branches. The objective of the program was to enhance students’ understanding of emerging technologies and to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications of Machine Learning.

The program commenced with the traditional Deep Prajwalan and garlanding of Maa Saraswati, symbolizing an auspicious beginning. The session was formally inaugurated with a welcome address by Dr. Anil Bajpai, Group Director, who emphasized the relevance of Machine Learning, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence in the context of industry readiness and future career prospects.

The expert lecture was delivered by Dr. Smita Moghe, Professor, Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, who presented the fundamental concepts of Machine Learning in a structured and student-friendly manner. The lecture covered key areas such as Introduction to Machine Learning, Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD), Supervised and Unsupervised Learning, Machine Learning Model Development Life Cycle, Testing, Evaluation, Deployment processes, and an overview of prominent Machine Learning algorithms.

The session provided insights into both conceptual understanding and practical implementation, thereby enriching the academic exposure of the participants. IEEE Student’s Chapter Seminar on Big Data Analytics

The IEEE Student Branch of Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR), Bhopal successfully organized an expert lecture on “Big Data Analytics” for the students of all branches of B.Tech on 15 December 2025. The program commenced with the traditional Deep Prajwalan and garlanding of Maa Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, marking an auspicious beginning.

The session was delivered by Dr. Mahesh Pawar, a renowned computer scientist from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal. Dr. Pawar explained the fundamentals of Big Data Analytics in a clear and student-friendly manner. His lecture covered key topics such as the introduction to Big Data, technologies used in Big Data Analytics, the Hadoop Ecosystem, NoSQL databases, and MapReduce, providing valuable insights into both theoretical and practical aspects of the domain.

One Day Workshop on “Cyber Shaksham - Awareness to Employability in Cyber Security Program”

The Department of CSE and CSDS/AIML, Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Bhopal, successfully organized a one-day workshop titled “Cyber Shaksham - Awareness to Employability in Cyber Security Program” on 24 November 2025 at the PIMR Auditorium.

The session was delivered by Mr. Vijay Kumar Jhingran, Vice President, International College of Security Studies (ICSS). Mr. Jhingran is a seasoned Techno-Management professional with more than 25 years of experience in the IT Training and IT Services industry. He has played a significant role in designing and implementing skill development initiatives in Information Technology and Cyber Security and is actively involved in developing industry-oriented cyber security programs.

The workshop aimed to enhance students’ understanding of cybersecurity, digital safety, and employability opportunities in the cyber security domain. The event focused on building awareness regarding cyber threats and empowering students with practical knowledge required in today’s digital world.

• Understanding Cyber Threats: Phishing emails, ransomware attacks, password attacks, and social media scams.
• Safe Internet Practices: Identifying suspicious links and protecting personal information online.

Event Summary

IDEATHON 2K25 witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of 15–20 colleges across Bhopal. A total of 94 participants presented innovative ideas and projects addressing real-life challenges using AI, engineering, healthcare, and management solutions.

In the first half, teams presented Innovation projects with a 7-minute presentation followed by a 3-minute Q&A session. Winners, runners-up, and consolation prizes were decided based on predefined evaluation criteria.

The second half focused on Idea presentations with a 5-minute pitch and a 2-minute Q&A session. Judges evaluated ideas and announced winners and runners-up.
